I built all these masks to hide behind. All these layers of padding. I built the power that I wanted to be. I made myself all I have ever wanted to be and more. I became the machine. All of my identity and image, tied to what I have made. A perfect projection of my inner desires. How lucky am I? To control every square inch of your perception of me. To meticulously design every fiber of my brewing in your reality. And yet, still so very flawed. Doesn’t that scare you just a bit? It sure does me.
